Gutenberg Bible is found as the first major printed book with use of movable type around 1450 by Johannes Gutenberg a German printer and publisher. He was found a first European who actually used movable type printing and inventor of printing press, and used this method earlier in 1439, although the 'Gutenberg Bible' stays as a first major book printed in Europe. This book is also called Mazarine Bible and 42line Bible, as it has two columns of text with 42 lines in each, however as the printing process began some pages were left with 40lines per column.
Gutenberg's invention started a mass books production, and as the books became cheaper because there were more numbers of them, wider number of population could finally afford them. This enabled mass population to became more acknowledged, although it led to more strict censorship, as authority felt that people might challenge it as since the production started they know more.
